Seascape Lamps offers many energy agency & code compliant fixtures.
Different fixtures can be equipped with components other than medium base sockets.
Some include GU-24 sockets or dedicated replaceable LED arrays.
Please check with your local authorities to see which solution will be acceptable in your application.
Unless indicated all Seascape lamps come with medium base sockets. Optional energy compliant GU-24 sockets are available at no extra charge. Please indicate on orders.

Do you plan on dimming LED fixtures?
We have 2 types of dimming systems - each for a different “wired” situation.
Most common would be 120V standard wiring, almost all residential and 50% of commercial applications. 120V standard wiring uses our PHASE dimmed LED arrays.
In less common mostly commercial situations they require 120/277V 0-10V dimming to match a specially “wired”situation. If this has not been specified and you are not sure, please ask your electrical contractor.
*Either dimming system type can be used in a standard 120V situation, however 0-10V LED arrays cannot be dimmed without special wiring. (4 wires special vs. 2 wires standard)
Phase Dimming (standard wiring)
There are two types of Phase Dimming: Leading Edge Dimming and Trailing Edge Dimming. Leading Edge Dimming is sometimes referred to as "Forward Phase" or "TRIAC MAGNETIC MAG" dimming. Trailing Edge dimming is sometimes referred to as "Reverse Phase" or "Electronic Low Voltage ELV Dimming". There are no additional wires on a Phase Dimming driver.
Phase dimming is only available in 120V input.
We recommend Electronic Low Voltage dimmers for the best dimming range (down to 10%)
0-10V Dimming (special wiring)
This dimming type is used in some new construction and many commercial applications. There are extra wires (usually grey and purple) on the driver that connect up to the 0-10V dimmer. 0-10V dimming is available in universal 120V-277V input.

Our 120/277V dedicated/replaceable LED ARRAYS use 0-10V dimming controls and wiring.
The dimming switch must have 4 wires (hot, neutral & - [minus], + [plus] low voltage control wires) from the switch location to the xture.
This is not standard wiring in most residential applications. Recommended 0-10V dimmers include:

Select colors from our printer's custom color palette here (palette should be viewed on a calibrated monitor). Merely click on the desired color and copy-paste the resulting code number. Or select from swatches here. Do note that some colors
are less saturated than you are accustomed to viewing on simular color palettes. Nonetheless, this is an accurate rendering of print colors and an unavoidable result of our printing process. Once a color is selected and code number sent to our office a printed color sample will be sent.
We can generally print any design or image on our white linen and shade paper so long as the file is 150DPI and in RGB color. Keep in mind the dimensions of the shade and size your image accordingly. Note that we produce shades in "even" inch diameters starting at 6" and as large as 54". Shade height is available in any size between 3" and 40". Do include a 1" overlap in your image file.

Instruction on installing color profiles...
A printer profile is nothing more than a text file with information on how colors should be interpreted by an output device such as a printer, however to get accurate colors a ICC printer profile is essential.
Windows XP Shortcut to Install
On Windows XP users can just drag the ICC profile onto their desktop and just right click and select Install Profile, Windows will then install the profile into the correct location

Use the circumference calculator above to determine the amount of fabric needed. Add to the both the circumference and height at least 4" on both dimensions. If the fabric contains a pattern do keep in mind that it's unlikely that the seam will corespond. Also we are limited in the weights of fabric we can apply; best to call our office to discuss.
for our drum shades are now made with white linen laminated to styrene within a wire form. The diffuser readily slides out from the shade for easy access for bulb replacement. As well, our fabric diffuser distributes light more evenly than acrylic and also provides a complimentary continuity in material to the shade itself.
For our custom made rectangular shades we'll continue using acrylic diffusers due to manufacturing limitations.
By using a variety materials, Seascape offers different looks for our drum light fixture when viewed from below. The amount of light transmitted varies by diffuser type:
Our most translucent material is Poly Matte, compared to it Organza allows 80% of the light thru. Acrylic allows 65% and White linen is 50%
Insert diffuser at an angle from the bottom into the shade. Allow edge of diffuser to rest on the bottom lip of shade.
The diffuser will now be able to be lowered into a level position resting entirely on the shade's bottom lip.
To remove diffuser, raise one side of the diffuser thereby allowing the other side of the diffuser to be retracted from the bottom of the shade.
